Eagle Forum Condemns Senate Liberals for Blocking Religious Freedom Amendment

Washington, D.C. - Eagle Forum PAC, a conservative public policy organization founded by pro-family leader Phyllis Schlafly, condemns Harry Reid and Senate liberals for once again blocking a measure to overturn the ObamaCare contraceptive mandate.

"The contraceptive mandate is an introduction to the real ObamaCare, whereby a handful of leftists in D.C. impose the views of their big-money donors on more than 300 million Americans," said Schlafly. "If the Obama Administration's contraceptive mandate remains intact, then liberals will continue to demand that Americans pay for objectionable items and services that are not really medical care."

"Eagle Forum is proud to stand with other conservative women's groups and with the growing number of conservative women in Congress who understand how dangerous the Obama Administraton's policies are to the liberty and constitutional protections all Americans hold dear," said Schlafly.

"Eagle Forum salutes the Members of Congress who have already signed on as co-sponsors of this measure in the House, and we call on all Americans to urge President Obama to back down from this draconian mandate," Schlafly concluded.

"As this mandate proves, Obamacare is a threat to Americans' constitutional protection and financial freedom. Eagle Forum and our network of grassroots activists will continue to do all we can to overturn this affront to our liberty," Schlafly concluded.
